APO Aus Participates in 2006 Philippine Fiesta

seal3Alpha Phi Omega Australia is one of the Filipino community organisations that will actively participate in the forthcoming 18th Grand Philippine Fiesta Kultura on 01 Sunday 2006 (long weekend) at Rosehill Gardens Event Centre, James Ruse Drive, Rosehill, NSW.Image

Leading the preparations for the fiesta are  Project Officers Sisters Rosanna R. Jojie F. and Cecile C supported by members of the Executive Counci headed by President Shane A and the rest  of Alpha Phi Omega Australia community  including our YiLFS-Australia convenors Precy S. and Ferdie R. Traditionally, food-based products will be the bulk of items for sale on our booth at No. 41.

ImageSimultaneous  with the fiesta preparations, is the   selling of admission and raffle tickets being undertaken by Alpha Phi Omega Australia as one of the authorise ticket sellers. Admission tickets cost S15.00 prepaid and $20.00 at  the gate. Children under 10 are free. The participation of Alpha Phi Omega Australia in this year's fiesta is in coordination with the Philippine Community Council of New South Wales (PCC-NSW).

 

 
APO Australia Vounteers on Tree Day
Volunteers from  Alpha Phi Omega Australia Inc actively planted trees during the 2006 National Tree Day in collaboration with the Local Government of Blacktown on 30 July 2006.apoaus2

The supplied seedlings  from Blacktown Local Government was planted at Minchinbury Reserve, Minchinbury Drive, NSW, 2770. apoaus3Two officers from Philippine Community Council of New South Wales (PCC-NSW), namely: Vice-President Cesar B and  Secretary Josie M joined APO Australia members and their respectively family in planting a total of 900 tree-seedlings in the reserve.apoaus4

 
APO Australia Participates in PCC-NSW Sponsored Seminar
 A “Seminar-Workshop on Community Organisation Management” was organized by the Philippine Community Council of New South Wales (PCC-NSW) on 5 August 2006 at Woodcroft Community Centre, Woodcroft NSW.

APO Australia was one of the many affiliated  community organizations that actively participated on the said seminar-workshop. Vice-President for External Affairs Ronaldo Villaver and Auditor Gerry Musa represented APO Australia.

Topics discussed in the one-day seminar workshop  were on “Legal Requirements of Community Organisations”, “Project Management”, “Financial Management,” “Fund Sourcing”, among others.
